All year long it’s important to reflect on what fills your heart with gratitude. In a world full of bad things, reminding yourself what you’re thankful for is good for your soul. Because today is Thanksgiving in America, I wanted to take a moment to discuss what I am thankful for. (*^^*)♡
Lucky Stars ♡ My Lucky Stars are number one on my list this year because even though I haven’t come out with new, completed material in awhile, they have continued to support me and my work however they can. In fact, my Lucky Stars create the BEST fanart! (Fanart of Vilvian, left, created by Angel.) They are a blessing and I cannot emphasize enough how thankful I am to have such amazing readers. My Lucky Stars are more than readers, they are my friends and some of them are like family to me.
Friends ♡ I am thankful for strengthened friendships, as well as for the new friends I made this year. My friends really helped me get through some hard times this year. I went through several really terrible months, in large part due to a bad situation I was in professionally. I felt on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and they listened to me rant and rave and really talked me down from the proverbial ledge. So, thank you, my friends, for your love and support.
Family ♡ It goes without saying, but I’m very grateful for my husband and children. Explaining why could take awhile, so let’s leave it at that my life would be very boring without them. 😛
Reviewers ♡ Paper Wishes received really great reviews this year and I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who took the time to read, review, and rate it. Even if you didn’t love it, I am so thankful that you gave my book a chance. While I appreciated all the reviews I’ve received so far, I have to say that my favorites were this one by TheQuirkyBookNerd and this one by Books and Beauties. ♡\( ̄▽ ̄)/♡
Opportunities ♡ There have been some really cool and interesting opportunities that have come my way this year. While many of them have not come to fruition yet, I am grateful for the unlimited potential that comes with waiting to see how things unfold. An opportunity that has come to fruition is Paperback Kingdom, a business founded by my friend and fellow indie author, Pagan Malcolm, which is geared toward indie authors and readers. While Pagan is the driving force and true brains behind the operation, I am very excited about embarking on this endeavor with her.
This isn’t a comprehensive list of things that I am thankful for. In fact, I’d say that it barely scratches the surface, but if I kept going I’d probably crash my server. So, to keep things moving along, what fills your heart with gratitude, friends?

7 years agoI am thankful for:
1 // YOUR friendship and support this year. It means so, so much to me!
2 // In light of launching Paperback Kingdom, I have found myself so thankful to have been born in a world with technology and social media that allows me to connect with friends and readers from anywhere, despite living in the tinest town ever. Sometimes I feel so isolated but this year I have met so many wonderful people and gained a lot of new readers, which I am truly thankful for!

7 years agoThis is late but one thing I am thankful for is that I got to read your work. Paper Wishes was an absolute favourite of mine on Wattpad. The fact that you made it into a physical book is amazing. I really appreciate the hard work it went into doing that.

7 years agoHi Spencer, how are you? I was wondering if there’s anything I can do for you like publicity or other favors since you do so much:)
