Drum roll, please! *brrrrrrrrummm*
I’m so excited to share with you all that P.S. Malcolm and I have teamed up to start a podcast together. What’s it about? Pretty much everything, but in episode one, we discuss Harry Potter*, magical girls, and our favorite witchy books.
This is our pilot episode, so it’s a little bit of a mess. The first week we were supposed to record, both of us fell ill and needed to postpone. On the actual day of recording, we encountered numerous technical issues that took over an hour to solve. So, I want to say “thank you” in advance to everyone to takes the time to listen to it. ^_^
Pagan (P.S. Malcolm) wrote a more comprehensive blog about the podcast, which also includes a transcription! Odd episodes (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc) will be hosted on her blog, while even-numbered episodes (2, 4, 6, 8, etc) will be hosted on mine. Early in our planning stages, we decided to take turns coordinating episodes so that our listeners could get a better feel for who we are as individuals.
Without further ado, here is our debut episode! I hope you enjoy it!
*I have to put this disclaimer here because I don’t want anyone coming for us. We are both fans of the series (we both identify as Hufflepuff) and one of my character’s names (Nox) was inspired by the series. That being said, we wanted to be open and honest about our feelings, which includes my admission of not being able to identify as a Potterhead. I have friends who are Potterheads. They know literally everything about the series, and I think that’s great! In the past, I may have self-identified as a Potterhead until I realized that I wasn’t as deep into the fandom as I thought I was, and to be deceitful about it would be a disservice to real Harry Potter fans.
